Redbud Kid’s Club: Free Events every thursday

Looking for the ultimate free summer activity to keep the kiddos entertained, creative, and out of the house? Welcome to the Redbud Kid’s Club! Every Thursday morning throughout the summer, Point Nine Trailside is transforming the private dining room into a vibrant, hands-on craft workshop and interactive zone for local families.

From building iconic animated characters to testing their engineering skills with food, we’ve put together an incredible lineup of activities that make the most of summer vacation.

Settle in, grab an iced coffee or a early trailside lunch while the little ones create, and let us handle the cleanup!

The Summer Activity Lineup

Every workshop kicks off on Thursdays at 11:00 AM. Here is a breakdown of what we have planned for each week:

  • 6/25 – Build-a-Forky: We’re kicking off the series by bringing a movie favorite to life! The kids will get to craft their very own Forky—the beloved, quirky little fella from Toy Story—using sporks, pipe cleaners, and plenty of imagination.
  • 7/2 – Besties & Beads Workshop: It’s time to celebrate friendship! The kids will dive into a colorful assortment of beads and threads to design custom friendship bracelets for their besties (or themselves!).
  • 7/9 – The Storybook Hour: We are thrilled to welcome our fantastic friends from the Andover Public Library to the trail! They’ll be making a special trip to Point Nine to host an engaging, interactive live story reading.
  • 7/16 – Hidden Gems Rock Painting: Turn ordinary nature into a canvas. Kids will get to select their rocks and use bright, vibrant paints to create their own “hidden gems” to display at home or hide along the Redbud Trail.
  • 7/23 – Pasta Tower Engineering: A high-stakes building contest where food meets architecture! Using uncooked spaghetti noodles and marshmallows, the kids will compete to see who can engineer the tallest, strongest structural tower before it topples.
  • 7/30 – Tie-Dye Butterflies: A beautiful science-meets-art experiment. Kids will color custom coffee filters, spray them with water, and watch in amazement as the colors bleed, blend, and expand into gorgeous tie-dye butterfly wings.
  • 8/6 – Pictionary Bingo: We are combining two classic games into one high-energy activity. Expect lots of guessing, drawing, and shouting “BINGO!” with cool little prizes up for grabs.
  • 8/13 – Mega-Mural Coloring: We’re wrapping up the summer series by going big. The kids will team up to tackle a giant, collaborative mega-mural, coloring in every inch to create a massive community masterpiece.

The Best Thursday Morning Family Hang in Andover

We built the Redbud Kid’s Club to give local parents a reliable, high-vibe, and affordable destination to break up the weekday monotony.

  • Patio Dining for the Family: Sit back and relax under the shade of our patio. Enjoy our full lunch menu starting at 11 AM, or sip on a cold drink while your kids are fully engaged in a structured activity right nearby.
Want to hear the best part? Thursdays are officially Kid’s Day at Point Nine—all day long! Once the crafts wrap up, stick around for lunch because all kids’ meals are just $4. From our crispy Chicken Fingers and sliders to fresh-grilled Chicken Bites and rich Mac & Cheese, our signature “Kids Boards” are prepared fresh and served with a variety of delicious sides. High-quality ingredients for them, unbeatable mid-week value for you!
  • No Mess at Home: Leave the glitter, paint, and sticky marshmallows to us. Your kids get all the fun of a massive craft session, and your kitchen counters stay completely clean.
  • Trailside Location: Conveniently located at mile marker .09 on the Redbud Trail, it’s the perfect mid-morning destination to bike or stroll into.
